Spotlight: Updated Tools & Resources Page

The MQii Tools & Resources page has a new look—check it out

You will notice a more user-friendly interface and greater accessibility to various tools and resources with this update. The tools and resources are now organized chronologically by recommended steps in the malnutrition quality improvement process, with key information about the MQii at the beginning and quality improvement guidance at the end. As a reminder, the MQii Tools & Resources page is a great asset to leverage throughout your malnutrition quality improvement process and should be used in conjunction with the MQii Toolkit to support the implementation and continued expansion of your malnutrition quality improvement initiative. Below, we have highlighted the three resources participants have found the most helpful.

MQii Stakeholder Letters

Utilize the customizable stakeholder letter templates to make the case for implementing a malnutrition quality improvement project and outline the stakeholder’s role in supporting such an initiative.

Project Teams and Workflow Mapping Presentation

Use this resource to build your project team, map your current malnutrition practices, compare to MQii recommended workflow practices, and identify the best clinical improvement(s) to introduce to your care teams. Use in conjunction with the best practices highlighted in the Toolkit document.

Malnutrition Care Clinical Flowchart and Flowchart Template

Leverage the malnutrition care clinical flowchart as an example of best practices for malnutrition care and the flowchart template to map out your team’s current practice workflow.

Welcome Webinar & Coffee Break | May 7, 2018 at 2-3:15PM ET

Starting this month, we will be holding bi-monthly Welcome Webinars and Coffee Breaks for newly enrolled Learning Collaborative participants and for those already enrolled but who are seeking to have their questions answered via technical assistance.

Last year, we had tremendous success bringing our Learning Collaborative participants together on a regular basis during our Coffee Break sessions. These open-format and interactive sessions allowed participants to discuss particularly challenging questions around engaging their IT teams and preparing for eCQM and outcomes data extraction in addition to QI project support. Participants are encouraged to attend and bring their questions, suggest ideas to other participants who are encountering obstacles, or just listen in and be inspired by the discussion.

Our May Coffee Break will take place in combination with our Welcome Webinar on Monday, May 7th from 2-3:15PM ETThese webinars provide an opportunity for newly enrolled sites to become acquainted with the team, other participants, and receive a streamlined presentation of the onboarding process for getting started. We will be holding the Welcome Webinar for the first 45-minutes, directly followed by a Coffee Break. If you have previously attended a Welcome Webinar, feel free to dial in solely for the Coffee Break.
